DANIEL FARRIER

Hello and welcome to my website! I am West Midlands actor and model enjoying and travelling the performers life with the camera and live audiences. I work in films, commercials, media and both live and staged theatre.

I caught the acting bug very young and have always enjoyed performing and bringing stories to life, but as I grew older I realised this was more than just a passion and would one day be my profession. For years I performed and trained under the guidance of professional practitioners at my local theatres, whilst learning about the many different ways the industry works and how to improve myself as a performer. The University of Chichester then allowed me to put this to the test as I embarked upon a three-year journey of self-development facilitated by artists and professionals who have succeeded in the industry themselves.

Post graduating I began to create my place in the acting world by acquiring my first headshots, shooting a show-reel and setting up my profiles online to access opportunities and show what I can offer. This involved a lot of research, training and regularly self-shooting monologues and short scenes, a time I look back on with great fondness. 

​

In March 2021 I landed my first role in an online road safety advert shot in South London and my journey as a professional actor had truly begun. Since then I have gone on to play roles in over twelve short films, perform in seasonal events at theme parks and work commercials for brands such as BMW and Subway. I have also dabbled in voice over work and music video as well as building and developing myself an identity as a model, all the while working with exciting talent across the Midlands and the whole of the UK.

When I'm not on set or stage I can be found travelling the country presenting science shows and career talks as well as performing in murder mystery events in the evenings. Outside of work I love engaging in sport, travelling and spending time with the important people in life. 

​

I have learnt a lot in life as a performer and strive to use my experiences to develop not just my craft, but also myself as a person. My journey as an actor so far has allowed me to explore the rich variety of ways to tell a story and bring a character to life and how best to bring my own truth to the roles I play. Through my training and working life I have been fortunate enough to experience and understand the inner workings and importance of all the roles that go into making a production from the initial planning and writing phase, to the post-production editing and all the magic that takes place in between. This has only served to greater increase my love and admiration for the world I am so lucky to work in.
